Our second trip, this time with two boats. Nigel and Sally are real pleasure to deal with; I love supporting small hard-working family businesses!
The boats are immaculately maintained and the perfect size for this relatively shallow canal.
The canal is, however, a real gem. Stunning views and a nice mix of long lock-free stretches, a nice set of locks close together, a quarter-mile tunnel and some fun drawbridges. And of course, some fabulous pubs on or close to the canal. Our favourite is undoubtedly The Horseshoe at Llangattock - sensational Jam Welsh food and get hospitality. But all the pubs are warm and friendly, valuing the passing trade from the canal.
I'm an experienced narrowboater, and I genuinely feel that this canal and this company are just about the best I've experienced. Looking forward to going back next year.
