Our Narrowboats
Road House have operated all-steel holiday narrowboats on the Monmouthshire
& Brecon Canal for over thirty-five years - including twenty-one
years under the present owners. Our holiday canal boats are designed by ourselves
with special features to give easy handling on the shallow waters of
this canal and with a profile that avoids the need for bridge-bars
and the restrictions they impose. The present fleet of four modern
boats are carefully fitted out to make maximum use of space and
provide comfortable and well-equipped accomodation for your holiday
with us. Equipment includes electric freshwater toilets, full-sized
electric fridge, gas cooker and central heating with radiators to
give cosy dry heat for comfort in weather less good than you hoped
for. Well maintained engine arrangements and comprehensive
protection mean that you are not required to lift deck boards to
make daily checks.All our holiday narrowboats are fully equipped including electric fridge, full gas
cooker and radiator central heating, true freshwater flush toilet,
stereo radio/CD player, mobile phone/camcorder charger
facility and all domestic and cruising equipment. |
